Joane E. (Lafrance) Kolodziej

Joane E. (LaFrance) Kolodziej, 89, formerly of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.  Born Saturday, April 5, 1930, in West Haven, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. LaFrance, Sr. and Ruth Warren (Robbins) LaFrance.  She was married to Walter J. Kolodziej until his death on June 6, 2006.

Joane worked as a Maid for Yale University, alongside her husband, for a number of years, where they both received various awards for never missing a single day of work.

She is survived by a brother, Joseph A. LaFrance, married to Joan, of Palmyra.  Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews as well as Joane’s extended family and caring friends.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lorraine Lemley.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, in Hershey Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA  17078, 717-838-9211.
