Joan P. (Merluzzo) Smith

Joan Patricia Smith, 73, of Annville, passed away in Hershey on Wednesday, December 14, 2016.  She was born Monday, November 1, 1943 in Reading to the late Elmer and Catherine (Rumpf) Merluzzo.  She is survived by her loving husband Khervin D. Smith, just one month short of their 50th wedding anniversary.

Joan was a Kutztown graduate class of 1965 and later retired from Wells Fargo.  She was a member of the garden club in Palmyra, the Red Hat Society and a games and knitting club.  She enjoyed getting together with her college roommates and having luncheons with friends.

Along with her husband, she is survived by 2 sons, Andrew D. Smith and wife Rita of Potomac Falls, VA, and Matthew J. Smith and wife Donna of Albion, PA; 4 grandchildren, Catherine, Genevieve, Jarek, and Callista Smith; and a brother Richard Marshall.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
