Joan Carpenter
October 3, 1947 — March 30, 2025
Joan Carpenter, 77, of Elizabethtown passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Nova Zukoske. She was raised in Snyder County and graduated from the Selinsgrove Area High School in 1965. Joan was the wife of the late Randy Carpenter who passed away on May 28, 2020 and Jess Gaugler who passed away on November 12, 1975.
Joan retired from the Selinsgrove Center after 26 years of service. Joan also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends along with her many cats.
Surviving is her son, Troy A. Gaugler; a granddaughter, Ashley Shambach; a great-grandson, Grayson Shambach; along with two stepchildren, Jason and Amanda Carpenter.
The memorial service honoring Joan’s life and interment will be private.
