Jessie S. Galloway

Jessie S. Galloway, 94, of Harrisburg and formerly of Middletown, PA, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Samuel B. and Esther (Staub) Slocomb. She was the loving devoted wife for 46 years to Mr. David W. Galloway Jr.

After graduating from Middletown High School, she spent her life being a home maker taking care of her husband and children. She also did bookkeep for her husband’s construction business which she enjoyed. In her free time, she enjoyed playing cards, shopping, traveling with her husband, visiting Hawaii and other travel destinations, watching Middletown sports, camping and listening to the Yankees on the radio. Collecting was also a strong passion of Jessie’s, which included dolls, stuffed bunnies, fake geese and many more.

She is survived by her sons:  Michael D. Galloway (Jan), David W. Galloway and late wife Mary Jane; grandchildren: David R. Galloway (Stephanie) and Mallory Pambianchi (Michael Mullan); two great-grandchildren; siblings: Shirley Herring and late husband William, the late Mary Ann Deimler and late husband John; a sister-in-law Marlene Thompson and numerous nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023, at 10:00 AM, followed by services with time of sharing at Fager-Finkenbinder Funeral Home and Crematory. 208 North Union Street, Middletown, PA, 17057.

Graveside services will be private per family request.
