Jessica Dawn (Detz) Maslyn

Jessica D. (Detz) Maslyn, 42, of Middletown and formerly of Elizabethtown, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019, at Hershey Medical Center.  Born Sunday, September 12, 1976, in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Robert M. Weatherholtz and Joni L. (Detz) Robinson.

Jessica spent most of her career serving others as a waitress which brought her much joy.  She was outgoing and loved being around people.  She was also an avid Dallas Cowboy’s fan, but above all, she enjoyed spending time with her loving family.

She is survived by her mother, Joni, of Elizabethtown; her father, Rob, married to Beth, of Ephrata; two sons: Tyler R. Hemperly, of Middletown and Austin D. Shank, of Elizabethtown as well as her companion, James “Trevor” Hughes, of Middletown.  Also surviving are two granddaughters: Kami and Bay Hemperly; half-brothers: Jacob, Joshua and Jonathan Weatherholtz; a half-sister, Chrissy Keiffer; a brother, Mike McNece, married to Jennifer; a sister, Jennifer Johanning, married to Shawn; as well as five nieces, two nephews and one great niece.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Matthew McNece.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.  Private interment will be at the convenience of the family.  Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday.
