Jessica Gibson

Jessica Leigh Gibson, 35, of Harrisburg, formerly of Jonestown, passed away with her loving family by her side on Monday, June 25, 2012 after a courageous battle with breast cancer.  She was born Tuesday, February 22, 1977 in Lebanon to Jacob H. and Karen L. (Smith) Gibson.

She graduated from Northern Lebanon High School in 1995 and Lock Haven University in 1999 with a BA in psychology and criminal justice.  She enjoyed music, the beach, decorating for the holidays with family, and gardening.  She had a loving heart and giving soul, with a beautiful smile that would light up a room.  She lived her life to the fullest.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a loving sister, Lori L. Behrens and husband Robert of North Potomac, MD; nephew and niece, Blake and Sydney Behrens; loving companion, Gary Herman, and several uncles, aunts, and cousins.  She was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Landis R. and Dorothy (Kaster) Smith; paternal grandparents, Charles and Dorothy (Boyer) Moyer; uncle, Landis “Bud” Smith.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078 has been entrusted with the arrangements.
