Jeanne L. (Staudenmayer) Hager

Jeanne Louise (Staudenmayer) Hager, 87, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016 at the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.  She was born Saturday, June 2, 1928 in Pittsburgh to the late Franklin J.W. and Elsie (Wenzelburger) Staudenmayer.  She was predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, Robert E. Hager.

Jeanne was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Biglerville, PA and attended Sell Memorial Chapel in Elizabethtown, PA.  She was a Sunday school teacher and superintendent.  She was employed both as a teacher and a tax preparer.  Most importantly Jeanne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

She is survived by daughter, Luann H. Peiffer and husband John of Columbia; 4 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth E. Finkenbine of Pittsburgh.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy L. Hager, M.D..

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 11 AM at Sell Chapel at Masonic Village, One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 with Pastor Gary George officiating.  Family and friends are invited for viewing from 10:30 AM until time of the service.  Burial will private in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg, PA.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown for the Compassionate Care Fund and mailed to Masonic Villages, Office of Gift Planning, One Masonic Dr., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
