Jean Irene (Brandt) Means, 83, of Elizabethtown, passed away with family by her side at Hospice and Community Care of Mount Joy on Thursday, December 12, 2013. She was born Friday, October 31, 1930 in Lancaster County to the late Elmer and Edna (Reinhardt) Brandt. She was predeceased by her loving husband Marvin E. Means.

She is survived by a daughter, Jane Fitzpatrick of Elizabethtown; a son, Walter Smith of Manheim; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 3 siblings, Esther Liskey of Mount Joy, Sara Jane Gutshall of CA, and Jay Brandt of OK.

She was a faithful member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. Jean enjoyed the beach and often traveled to Ocean City, MD. Most importantly she was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 16th at 2 PM at Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022 with Pastor Tom Grubbs officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 1 PM until time of the service. Burial will follow in Mt. Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown.
