Jean C. (Clemmer) Lamb

Jean C. Lamb, 94, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, at the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. Born March 20, 1929, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Clemmer and Irene (Wiesenborn) Clemmer. She was married 58 years to the late Harry B. Lamb who had also resided at the Masonic Village.

Jean was a skilled seamstress from a young age. She learned her craft from her mother and created countless outfits throughout her lifetime, from bridal gowns to doll clothing. As an avid crafter, she could always be found with a crochet hook or knitting needles in her hands. When Jean wasn’t making a sweater or afghan for someone, she was making baby blankets for the Linus Society. Outside of crafting, she sang bass in the Sweet Adelines’ chorus and quartets for several years in the 1970’s. She always put her talents to good use for the people around her.

Jean enjoyed travelling with her husband Harry in their RV across the United States, but always loved Pennsylvania. The two of them had belonged to the Frankford Historical Society and GAR Museum & Library in Frankford before moving to Elizabethtown, as well as similar historical societies previously.

Jean is survived by three daughters: Barbara Ewing and husband Fred(deceased), Virginia Kramer and husband Arthur(deceased), Nancy Nisula and husband Joseph; four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Service and interment will be private and held at a later date.
