Jean M. Brandt

Jean M. Brandt, of Elizabethtown, entered her Savior’s arms surrounded by all her children and her Covenant Husband, Don Weaver, on Friday, February 14 at the age of 85 in the Memory Care Facility of Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.

Born on October 30, 1939, in Elizabethtown, Jean was a 1958 graduate of Elizabethtown Area High School. Following graduation, she married Kenneth E. Brandt of Falmouth, who preceded Jean in death in 2016.  Jean loved being a mother and gave her life to raising her children.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Ken, on their Harley-Davidson motorcycle, and entertaining guests and friends with her loving hospitality and amazing Pennsylvania Dutch Cooking.

Jean is survived by her loving and caring Covenant Husband, Donald Weaver; brother Donald Brandt, (Doris), Elizabethtown; sister Jane Ginder, Maytown; and children, K. Edward (Jane), of Naples, FL; Kirby, of Elizabethtown; Kelly Givens (Rick), of Elizabethtown; Karen Newcomer (Brad), of Bethany Beach, DE; and Kevin, of Lancaster.  She is also survived by ten grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Jean was preceded in death by her father Henry Brandt, mother Mary Delucia Bankler Brandt, brother Michael, and sister Nancy Raffensberger.

The family wishes to express their appreciation for the loving care every member of the Masonic Village Staff for the incredible and amazing attention and support provided to Jean.

A memorial service is planned at 11 am on Monday, February 17 in Sell Chapel at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.  Family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am.  In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to The Employee Appreciation Fund, One Masonic Drive, Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
