Jay Ralph Flowers, 69, of Marietta died on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Bainbridge, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Good) Flowers. He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 47 years, Linda J. (Shannon) Flowers, and his family.

Jay formerly worked at Armstrong World Industries. In his free time he enjoyed going to his grandkid’s sports games, hunting, and fishing. He also liked to go on cruises, no matter the destination, and spend time at the beach. He was a frequent visitor of the SBA Men’s Club and Forester’ of America Club, both in Marietta.

In addition to his wife, Jay is survived by two daughters: Candy Nobile of Wrightsville, and Tammy Woods, wife of Christopher of Manchester; four grandchildren: Austin, Kenny, Brianna, and Jordan; and a brother Jack Flowers, husband of Vickie. He was preceded in death by three brothers.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Smedley-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 29 N. Gay St., Marietta, PA 17547, with David Nickey officiating. A viewing will be held from 10:30-11AM prior to the service. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens.
