Jay Lawrence Ebersole, 72, of Middletown, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at his home in Londonderry Township. Born Thursday, June 23, 1949, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Moses L. and Elma M. (Hertzler) Ebersole. Jay was a bachelor all his life and enjoyed living at the Ebersole homestead.
Surviving are four sisters: Delores K. Wells, married to David, of Olathe, KS, Nancy C. Musser, married to Phillip, of Mount Joy, Rosene “Rose” S. Hunking, married to William, of Elizabethtown, and Marilyn J. Hess, married to Robin, of Mount Joy. Also surviving are eight nephews and nine nieces, as well as Jay’s extended family and caring friends.
Jay was a truck driver for Brookwood Dairy and then Stroehmann Bread Company until he retired. He enjoyed driving truck and meeting new people.
He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and loved listening to WDAC FM, especially Dr. David Jeremiah.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022, 717-367-1543, with Pastor Jeff Burkholder officiating. A time of visitation with the family will be held from 11 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Private interment will take place in Stauffer Mennonite Cemetery, Hershey.
