Janice M. (Drescher) Brown

Janice M. Brown, 79, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2012 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Elizabethtown, she was the daughter of the late Luther Augustus and Stella (Bixler) Drescher. She was the husband of Franklin R. Brown of Elizabethtown.
Janice was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Elizabethtown. She was a 1950 graduate of Bainbridge High School and a 1951 graduate of Elizabethtown High School. An assembler, she was retired from AMP, Inc and previously worked as a bookkeeper for J.B. Athletic Shoe Co. and in production at Klein Chocolate. Janice enjoyed reading and shopping, and was an avid football fan. She especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren and attending their activities.
In addition to her husband Frank, she is survived by a son Craig Herr (Betty), Mount Joy; three step sons: Rick Brown (Tammy), Hagerstown, MD; William Brown, Columbus, OH and Dean Brown, Warren, PA; 10 grandchildren, four great grandchildren; three brothers: Clifford Drescher (Helen); Charles Drescher (Orpha) and Richard Drescher; and a sister Shirley Price (Richard).
She was predeceased by two brothers: Luther and Carl Drescher.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 1, 2012 at Christ Lutheran Church, 133 East High Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 at 6:30 PM. There will be no viewing.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church.
