Janet Louise (Messick) Patteson, 78, of Annville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at her home.  She was born Tuesday, January 19, 1943 in Harrisburg to the late Howard L. and Miriam E. (Hostetter) Messick.  She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, A. Basil Patteson.

She graduated from Hershey High in 1960 and was a faithful member of St. John’s E.C. Church-Steelstown.  She owned and operated Pat & Son Service Center in Annville, serving as Secretary and Treasurer.  She enjoyed traveling the world on business trips with her husband and their many friends.  Boating in Raystown and snowmobiling in Potter County and Canada were among her favorites.  Most of all, she dedicated her life to the Lord, family and friends.

She is survived by a son, Eric B. Patteson and wife LeeAnn of Harrisburg; a daughter, Lori Ann Peters and husband Robert of Annville; a grandson, Kyle R. Elliott and wife Sara of Mt. Gretna; a sister-in-law, Linda Messick of Lititz.  She was predeceased by a grandson, Blake Robert Peters; a brother, Howard “Buzz” Messick.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 13th at 11 AM at St. John’s E.C. Church, 683 Steelstown Road, Annville, PA 17003 with Pastor Jeff Berger officiating.  Family and friends are invited for viewing from 9 AM until time of the service at the church.  Burial will follow in St. John’s U.M. Church Cemetery, Grantville.
