Janet M. (Logan) Landvater

Janet M. (Logan) Landvater, 76, of Hershey passed away peacefully at home, Monday January 1, 2024. She was born January 17, 1947, to the late William R. and Isabelle (Kirland) Logan.

After obtaining her high school degree, Janet trained to be a beautician. She later opened her own shop, Landvater’s House of Styles, which she operated for over 35 years. Janet was an award-winning nationally recognized lovebird breeder and a regional and national Lovebird Society judge. She enjoyed traveling and visited many lovebird competitions throughout the United States.

In her free time, she enjoyed learning about computers, gardening, bowling, crafting, knitting and spinning her own yarns. She took pleasure in spending time with her family and was a fun-loving beautiful soul who will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, James H. Landvater Sr.; children: James H. Landvater Jr. (Kristina) and Brenda L. Landvater; grandchildren: Hannah M. Landvater and Rebecca A. Landvater; a brother William G. Logan Sr. (Arleen); multiple extended family.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at All Saints Episcopal Church of Hershey. Visitation with the family will begin at 10am.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Janet’s memory may be made to Hospice of Central PA or All Saints Episcopal Church of Hershey.
