Jane McQuirns Smolinski, 96, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, PA. She was the wife of the late Benjamin Smolinski. Born on February 22, 1930 in Conshohocken, PA, the daughter of the late Lewis G. McQuirns and Thelma Kriebel McQuirns.

Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Lewis (Pat) McQuirns of Colmar, PA, her daughter Linda Vogel Lisevick of Melbourne Beach, FL, wife of Frank Lisevick, her son W. Douglas Smolinski of Mount Joy, PA, husband of Diane Romig Smolinski. She is also survived by six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Jane lived a “full and diversified life”. She grew up as a member of the Conshohocken Methodist Church. A graduate of Conshohocken High School class of 1947, where she was an active student participating in basketball, cheerleading, and taking the lead part in several school theatre programs.

Jane was married to Benjamin Smolinski in March of 1950. Ben was a pilot flight instructor in the US Army Air Corps and owner/operator of Patco airport in Conshohocken, PA. Jane obtained her student pilots license at the age of 19 and she and Ben were then off in the clouds. Living in Lafayette Hill, PA, Jane worked in the family business as a Sales Agent for Smolinski Real Estate in the Montgomery County residential market. In 1965 Jane and her family moved to Elizabethtown, PA, where she worked as a homemaker, a Hostess for the Elizabethtown Welcome Wagon, and Sales Representative for Kapp Advertising of Lebanon, PA. She and her husband moved to California to enjoy its southern coast. After Ben’s death, Jane continued to live a full and ambitious life, moving back to the east coast states of Delaware and Florida. Eventually returning to her roots in PA. She is remembered by her children as creating a sense of freedom in life; always loving, fun and having a positive attitude. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
