Jane Hemperly Hardy

Jane Hemperly Hardy, 103, of Bainbridge, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Thursday, January 23, 2025. She was born on April 18, 1921 to the late Roy G. and Mary (Fox) Feeser. She is predeceased by both of her loving husbands, Glenn Hemperly whom she married in 1941 until he passed in 1992, and Bruce Hardy who passed in 2000.

She enjoyed watching the wild birds outside her kitchen window and was a lifelong lover of having dogs and cats as household pets. She enjoyed reading lifestyle magazines, novels, newspapers and the Merchandiser. She enjoyed visits with her family, watching NASCAR races and chocolate. Jane attended Word of Life Chapel, Bainbridge since its early beginning. Most importantly she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, and sister. She is predeceased by her sister Betty Hardy.

She is survived by her children, Mary Hoffman and husband Dick, Glenn Hemperly and wife Carol, Lloyd Hemperly, Leone Hipple, Margie Smith and husband Jim, and John Hemperly and wife Vicky; grandchildren, 22; great grandchildren, 43; and great- great grandchildren, 25.

A time of visitation and food will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at noon at Word of Life Chapel, 139 Wickersham Rd., Bainbridge. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at the Falmouth Cemetery, Bainbridge.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Hospice and Community Care, 4075 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mount Joy, PA, or to Pennsylvania SPCA Lancaster Center, 848 S. Prince St., Lancaster, PA.
