Jane Parker Bauer, loving wife of Dr. Robert L. Bauer, born on February 11, 1924, died on July 7, 2014.

Born in Jacksonville, FL to Doryth (Findlay) Parker and Hugh Bertram Parker. The youngest of five children, brothers Hugh, Arthur and Robert and sister Doryth Montgomery preceded her in death.

She was active in many organizations. Jane was past president of the Lancaster Co. Medical Auxiliary and sang with the Lancaster Opera Workshop, in addition to much solo vocal work.

As a founding member of Chapter BM, PEO, Hershey, PA, Jane served for many years with great dedication. She was a member of Palmyra First United Methodist Church.

The mother of five lovely daughters, she is survived by Janette Bauer Rowe, Doryth Bauer Deisley, Nancy Bauer Byrne, and Carol Lynn Bauer. Robin Sue Bauer preceded her in death. Jane has 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

An accomplished artist herself, Jane was a great lover of music, art, and nature, and her courage and love of life were evident to all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at the DiMatteo Worship Center at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, 1200 Grubb Rd., Palmyra on Friday, July 11 at 11 AM. Friends and family are invited for visitation from 10 AM until time of the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078.

Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Good Samaritan Fund, Lebanon Valley Brethren Home.
