James E. Taraschi
November 15, 1942 — March 6, 2018
James E. Taraschi, 75, of Campbelltown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at the Hershey Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Born Sunday, November 15, 1942 in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Marino and Julia R. (Meads) Taraschi. He was married to Lorene M. (Fisher) Taraschi on January 29, 1983.
A Veteran, Jim proudly served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era.
In addition to his wife of over 35 years, he will be lovingly missed by his children: Michael D. Taraschi (Donna), of Delaware; Maurice Taraschi (Kim), of Minnesota; Tama L. Fraley (Christopher), of North Carolina; Lisa M. Blauch (John), of Lebanon and Charity M. Hutnick (Joseph), of Dillsburg. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and four siblings: Judi, Tracy, Becki and Marino. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Michael, Vincent and Daniel.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078, 717-838-9211, with Pastor Greg Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Campbelltown United Christian Cemetery, Palmyra, with military honors. There will be a viewing held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the service.
