James E. Montalto

James E. Montalto, 81, of Succasunna, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026. He was born January 29, 1945 to the late Americo and Genevive (D’Amico) Montalto. He is survived by his wife, Dale M. (Bambino) Montalto.

James was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and the Lions Club. In his spare time he enjoyed reading and spending time with his wife and their family. More than anything he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, James A. Montalto and wife Amy, Lisa A. Power and husband Brian, Michael J. Montalto and wife Jenna, and Christina L. Gurnee and husband Edward; eleven grandchildren; and sister Elaine Williams and husband Charlie.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 300 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Father Michael Metzgar officiating. A time of viewing will be held from 10 am until the start of mass. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at a later date.
