James M. Hite, 79, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at the Lebanon Valley Home, Annville.  He was born Thursday, January 16, 1941, to the late Franklin Daniel and Frances E. (Wert) Hite.

James retired from the Hershey Chocolate Factory as a chocolate molder after almost 39 years of work.  He was a long time member of the Lititz Dunkard Brethren Church and was an accomplished writer, wrote for newsletters, and was also very active with church publication.  Most importantly, he was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother.

He is survived by his daughters: Aimee L. Brandt and Lori A. Faiola and husband Dino; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Jennie Dimeler and Margie Boughter; and brother Robert Hite, Sr. and wife Brenda.  He is predeceased by a daughter, Tina M. Clark, and his siblings Edward, Franklin, Jr., George, and Charles, and a brother-in-law, Robert Dimeler.

A private graveside will take place at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Lititz Dunkard Brethren Church, 430 Clay Rd., Lititz, PA 17543.
