James Kenneth Foreman, 85, of Hershey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. He was born Saturday, March 2, 1940 in Hershey to the late E. Carl Foreman and Ruth (Detweiler) Foreman. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Helen “Marie” (Clare) Foreman.

Jim was a proud graduate of Hershey High School, class of 1958. He began his career as a general contractor, founding Brookside Builders, a company that built numerous residential homes in the greater Hershey area. His passion for development led him to become an accomplished area developer, with Brookside Manor being one of his first and most notable projects.

A man of many talents, he was also a farmer for much of his life, raising cattle and boarding horses on his property. He later retired after serving as the Code Enforcement Officer for Londonderry Township for over 20 years, earning respect for his dedication and service to the community.

Jim was an active member of Fishburn United Methodist Church and was known for his love of the outdoors. He cherished time spent at the beach, especially at his beach house in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. In his free time, he enjoyed biking, hunting, and was a lifelong fan of football and baseball.

However, above all, Jim’s greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and his love for his granddaughters was unparalleled. His family will remember him as a man who lived with integrity, kindness, and a deep love for those around him.

He is survived by two sons, Timothy J. Foreman and wife Aimiee of Hershey, and Mark K. Foreman and wife Cheri of Hershey; two granddaughters, Hailey Foreman of Walnut Creek, CA and Madeline Foreman of Hershey; a sister, Mary Jane Foreman of Durham, NH.

Private burial will take place in Fishburn Cemetery, Hershey. Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
