James Francis Fager

James Francis Fager, 67, of Hershey, formerly of Derby, KS, passed away with family by his side on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 in the Harrisburg Hospital.  He was born Tuesday, July 15, 1947 in Wichita to the late Gerald Francis and Virginia Maxine (Rosenstiel) Fager.  He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Kathy Irene (Nixon) Fager.

In his youth, James enjoyed playing baseball, basketball, and football.  He was a loyal employee of Hershey Foods, retiring from their sales department.  James was an entrepreneur, helping his son and daughter start their first company and managing the daily logistics of the business.  He enjoyed the outdoors and keeping his hands busy tending to his yard.  Most importantly he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by a daughter, Stacey Fager of Hershey; 2 sons, Jefferey Fager and wife Jessica of Enola and John Fager of York; and a grandson, Tyler Sunday.  He was predeceased by a brother, Jerry Fager.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078.
