Jacob Eugene Hinkle
March 27, 1931 — January 21, 2019
Jacob Eugene Hinkle, 87, of Lititz, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at home. Born Friday, March 27, 1931 in Maytown, he was the son of the late Paul and Esther (Albert) Hinkle. He was the husband of Joy Ann (Lehigh) Hinkle who passed away in February 2009.
Jacob was a man of many talents and could fix anything. He was retired from driving truck, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and welding. He loved to travel to Havre de Grace and Daytona Beach, FL for Bike Week, but was most of all dedicated to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by four children: Larry W. Hinkle and wife Luann of Bernville; Bonnie L. Bush of Lititz; Jacob E. Hinkle, Jr. and wife Linda of Stevens and Teresa A. Hurst and husband Edwin of Lititz; seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a sister Madge Frecht of Daytona Beach, FL.
Jacob was predeceased by five siblings: LaDene (Dene), Mildred (Mil), Paul (Peanut), Doris (Pat) and John.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Smedley-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 29 North Gay Street, Marietta, PA 17547 at 11:00 AM. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place in Maytown Cemetery.
