Jacob W. Engle

Jacob W. Engle, 87, of Marietta, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community.  Born Monday, September 4, 1933, in Marietta, he was the son of the late Irvin and Alice (Wolgemuth) Engle.  He was married to Naomi R. (Lehman) Engle on May 10, 1958.

Jacob was a member of Cross Roads BIC Church, Mount Joy. He worked as a bookkeeper for Lehman Tire Company and retired from bookkeeping while working for New Jersey Shell Casting.

In addition to his wife of over 63 years, he is survived by a daughter, Debra A. Wertz, married to Dusty, of Conestoga, a daughter, Sandra K. Henry, married to Haines, of Pequea and a son, Jeffrey D. Engle, married to Kelly, of Manheim.  Also surviving is a daughter-in-law, Nan Engle, of East Petersburg, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, as well as Jacob’s extended family and caring friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Fredrick L. Engle.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Cross Roads BIC Church, 800 Donegal Springs Road, Mount Joy, PA  17552 with Pastor Earl E. Herr officiating.  A viewing will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday.  Interment will follow the services in the adjoining church cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543
