J. Richard "Dick" Myers

Jay Richard “Dick” Myers, 81, of Elizabethtown passed away unexpectedly in his home on Thursday, November 27, 2014. He was born Friday, June 2, 1933 in Milton Grove to the late Norman G. and Catharine P. (Teeter) Myers. He was predeceased by his loving wife Marian E. Myers in 2003.

He worked alongside his father at Norman G. Myers and Son Farm Machinery in Rheems, later retiring in 1995 from Amp Incorporated. Dick was a faithful member of Florin Church of the Brethren. He was a longtime volunteer for Meals on Wheels as well as Love Inc.. Most importantly he was a loving father and grandfather.

He is survived by a son, David S. Myers and wife Janet (Clark) of Elizabethtown; a daughter, Melissa K. Williard and husband Dewey of Winston-Salem, NC; and 5 grandchildren, Zachary, Abigail, and Noah Myers of Elizabethtown and Robert and Lydia Williard of Winston-Salem, NC.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 1st at 2 PM at Florin Church of the Brethren, 815 Bruce Ave., Mt. Joy 17552 with Pastor Randy Fiske and Pastor Earl Ziegler officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 1 PM until time of the service. Burial will follow in Mt. Tunnel Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown 17022.
