Holly M. Lankford

Holly Montiese Lankford passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025 in Hershey, PA at the age of 67. Born in Dayton, Ohio on December 1, 1957, she was the second eldest daughter born to Omar and Constance Lowman, the loving wife of Edward B. Lankford.

As a child, she enjoyed playing soccer, softball, and the clarinet in the marching band, taught her sister to play guitar, and participated in girl scouts. After high school, Holly earned a B.S. in Audiology and Speech Pathology in 1980 from Towson State University and then an M.S. in Audiology also from TSU. She worked as an audiologist for the Mid - Eastern Shore Educational Consortium and then for the U.S. Army Environmental Hygiene Agency.

Holly met Edward through Holly’s mother, Constance, and Edward’s eldest brother, Art who worked together in the local school district. They bonded over their mutual passion for the Lord and their love of outdoor activities like camping, fishing, and water skiing. They married on December 30, 1983. They made home in Baltimore, Hershey, the Philadelphia suburbs, and back to Hershey. Holly and Edward raised their four children, Mark, Grace, Daniel and Paul.

She became an Evangelism Explosion trainer, and was excited to have divine appointments to share the gospel. In recent years, she was an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg, PA with a passion for leading the English as a Second Language (ESL) program for 11 years and the Refugee and Immigrant Ministry 3.5 years, serving immigrant families in the area, later becoming an ESL trainer, and serving as the Ministry Liaison for ESL and RIM at Mission to North America (MNA).

Holly enjoyed spending time with friends and colleagues from the diverse, international communities she supported, sharing her faith, tending the garden, playing with Grace’s dog, Flower, anticipating snowfall with the Snowman Socks Club, and supporting the Phillies, Eagles, and her Ohio State Buckeyes.

She is predeceased by her parents, Omar and Constance Lowman, and sister, Cathy Lowman. Surviving are her husband, Edward Lankford, and children and their spouses Mark Lankford (Kaley), Grace Lankford, Daniel Lankford (Amber), Paul Lankford and grandson Aiden and her siblings and spouses, Lynda Hare and John Lowman (Greg).

The Lankford family is very grateful to the many family members and friends who have provided support locally and through their prayers.
