HENRY A. TOBIE

Henry A. Tobie, 78, of Sinnemahoning, and formerly of Elizabethtown, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013 in the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Derry Township.

He was born on June 4, 1934 in Hastings, PA to the late Lawrence and Dorothy (Bechel) Tobie.

Henry was a retired Chief Petty Officer from the United States Navy, having served in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was also retired from the Masonic Homes of Elizabethtown as the Head of the Powerhouse.

He was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Driftwood, St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Emporium, the Elizabethtown Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #596, American Legion Post #194 of Emporium, Cameron County Vets, and the Sinnemahoning Sportsman’s Assoc.

Surviving are his wife Nancy L. (Flowers) Tobie, his three sons Gregory S. Zerphey and his wife Denise of Elizabethtown, Kenneth E. Zerphey and his wife Denise of Elizabethtown, Timothy J. Zerphey and his wife Suzan of Elizabethtown, his five daughters Marcy E. Diem and her husband Timothy of Lititz, Karen D. Costomiris of Meguon, WI, C. Patricia Noll and her husband Gary of Middletown, Diana L. Martin and her husband Blake of Elizabethtown, LuAnn M. Meinberg and her husband Robert of Suwanee, GA, his two brothers Donald Tobie and his wife Patricia of Rochester, MN, Joseph Tobie and his wife Edith of CA, 20 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 in St. Peter Catholic Church, 904 Mill Road Elizabethtown, PA. Burial with full military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Viewing will be from 6pm until 8pm on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 in the Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. of Elizabethtown. www.millerfuneralhome.com .
