Helen L. Ebersole, 96, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Masonic Village. Born in Elizabethtown, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Caroline (Weidman) Hein. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John C. Ebersole, in 1999.

Helen worked as an administrative assistant for Watt & Shand department store in downtown Lancaster for 10 years. While she took pride in her work at the store, her true passion was being a top-notch homemaker and mother. She could run a home like no one else, keeping it organized and clean, and decorating it expertly for every holiday. When her family was happy, healthy, and well cared for, she was content. Her favorite place to take family vacations was Cape May, NJ, and once her son was grown, she enjoyed going to Chicago to see him perform at Northwestern University and to Tarrytown, NY to see him conduct the Westchester Symphonic Winds.

She is survived by her son, Jon Curtis Ebersole, husband of Timothy W. McVey, of White Plains, New York. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by numerous extended family members.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at the John S. Sell Chapel in Masonic Village, 1 Masonic Dr., Eizabethtown, PA 17022. A reception for family and friends will follow the service.

A private graveside service was held at Spring Creek Cemetery, Hershey, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.FinkenbinderFamily.com
