Harry J. Costa Jr.

Harry Costa Jr., age 80, of Marietta, (formerly of Forward Township), passed away at home on Saturday, July 8, 2023.  He was born October 20, 1942 to Harry and Sarah Costa, Glassport, PA.  Harry was preceded in death by his loving wife Wanda of 64 years.

Harry was a devoted brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  He is survived by his brothers John (Jane), Gabe (Rita), Donald (Marlana), Rick (Tracey) and sister Terry.  He was preceded in death by his sisters Rita Cairns (Jack) and JoAnne Gajdzik (George). Harry is also survived by his son, David Costa, (Norma) of Donora, Debbie Raffensperger, (Randall), of Marietta and Michele Costa-Upstill, (Troy) of Belle Vernon.  Harry is also survived by his grandchildren Jody Costa, Patrick Costa, Julie Costa, Christina Warfel, Jennifer Hull, Randall Raffensperger, David Broadwater, Amanda Callahan, Samantha Williams, Jacob Stockdill, Emma Stockdill and Owen Stockdill.  In addition to his grandchildren, he is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren.

Harry was the owner of Costa Construction Company until his retirement.  In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and beating people at 500 Rummy.  Harry loved watching comedies, especially if they starred John Candy, and watching westerns like Gunsmoke.  He also enjoyed traveling with his family.  Most of all, Harry enjoyed watching his family have fun.  He was truly a great man whose impact will be forever felt by his family, who love him dearly.

A visitation will take place on Friday July 14, 2023, at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 25 W Pine St, Palmyra, PA 17078 starting at 11:00 AM with a memorial service to follow at 12:00 PM.
