Harold A. Nornhold

Harold A. Nornhold, 80, of Palmyra, passed away unexpectedly at his home Tuesday, May 3, 2016. He was born March 27, 1936 in Hershey to the late Harold E. and Margaret L. (Rice) Nornhold and was also preceded in death by wife Marcia L. (Snyder) Nornhold.

A lifelong resident of Hershey, Harold graduated from Hershey High School and operated a successful construction and excavating business with his father, building homes and providing other construction-related services to individuals and businesses located in the south central Pennsylvania area.

Surviving are sons Brian H. Nornhold and his wife, Maureen of Palmyra; and Steven G. Nornhold and his wife Shannon of Danville, CA. Also surviving are his three grandchildren, Carlin, Aidan, and Evan of Danville, CA.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 29 at 2:30 PM at the Palm Lutheran Church, located at 11 West Cherry Street in Palmyra, with Rev. Dr. John D. Merkel officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 1:30 PM until time of the service at the church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill. Rothermel- Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra has been entrusted with the arrangements.
