Harold E. Hartdung

Harold E. Hartdung, 101, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.  Born Wednesday, March 8, 1916 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Ralph E. and Radna (Gibson) Hartdung.  He was married to Margie M. (Haberland) Hartdung for over 65 plus years until her death on January 18, 2014.

A Veteran of WWII, Harold proudly served with the U.S. Navy.  He was a lifelong member of Masonic Temple and was a member of Syria Shriners.  He was employed by the US Postal Service until he retired.

He is survived by two nieces: Margaret L. “Peg” (Schmidt) Richards, of Pittsburgh and Barbara Ann (Schmidt) Hudak, wife of Andrew V Hudak of Monongahela.

A Memorial Service will be held in Sell Chapel at Masonic Village, One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA  17022 on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 11 AM.  Interment will follow in the Columbarium at Sell Chapel.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543
