Gregory James Magalon, Sr., 64, of Palmyra, passed away in his home on Wednesday, August 23, 2017.  He was born March 18, 1953 in Philadelphia to the late Stanley A. Magalon and Dolores J. (Barr) Smith.  He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patrice R. (Pierce) Magalon.

Gregory was a sports fan, he enjoyed watching ice hockey, playing baseball and football and earlier in his life playing basketball.  He was also a history fan, specifically history of WWII.  Gregory was a retired Millwright of Union local # 219, he proudly served in the United States Army and a faithful member of the Church of the Holy Spirit.  Later in life he enjoyed traveling with his wife.  Most importantly he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Along with his wife he is survived by 2 children, Gregory James Magalon, Jr. and wife Michelle of Newark, DE and Christine Rita Nicholas and husband Jason of Linglestown;  3 grandchildren, Jonathan Bernhard, Caitlyn Magalon, and Austin Nicholas; mother-in-law, Rita E. Pierce; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078.  A public viewing will be held from 11:30 AM until time of the service.  Burial will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
