Grace "Lou" Louise (Miller) Bender

Grace L. “Lou” Bender, 84, of Palmyra passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2025. Born in Hershey, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Mary (Geipe) Miller. She was the loving wife of the late Harvey C. Bender who passed away in 1999.

Lou was a very thoughtful woman and welcoming to everyone. She enjoyed the woods and nature, especially at her former cabin in upstate Pennsylvania. Lou liked to farm, hunt, watch birds, and complete jigsaw puzzles. Above all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Lou is survived by her two sons, Clint Bender and Scott Bender (Danielle Quaranto); three grandchildren, Michael (Emis), Trisha (Pete), and Kevin; three great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Kayla, and Joshua; and a sister, Donna Martel (Ed).

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 11AM at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078. Interment will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Annville, PA. Family and friends are invited to view from 10AM until the time of service.
