Gloria Mae (Smith) Kettering, 91, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born Tuesday, May 13, 1930 in Palmyra to the late Chester F. and Ethel (Mowrer) Smith.  She was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph E. Kettering on Sunday, September 25, 1994.

She graduated from Palmyra High School in 1948, worked at Bel-Mills clothing factory 17 years as seamstress and was a lifelong member of Bethany United Methodist Church.  Her life was dedicated to the Lord and her family.

She is survived by two sons, James E. Kettering and wife Eileen of Las Vegas, NV, and Thomas J. Kettering and wife Margaret of Palmyra; a daughter, Cindy K. Frantz of Palmyra; four grandchildren, Chad Frantz and wife Courtney, Samantha Perkins and husband Chris, Holly Taylor, and Christian Kettering; six step-grandchildren, Dana McDonald, Bruce Hershey, Steven Turchin and wife Ashley, Sean Turchin and wife Leah, Jason Turchin and wife Erin, and Lauren Fox and husband Jeremy; a sister, Audrey Eberly and husband George; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother and three sisters.

A funeral service will be held Friday, September 10th at 11 AM at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078 with Reverend Robert Kettering officiating.  Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.  Family and friends are invited for viewing from 10 AM until time of the service.
