Gladys M. (Kutz) Thompson

Gladys M. (Kutz) Thompson, 81, of Mount Joy, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, surrounded by her loving family at her home in East Donegal Township following a valiant battle with cancer.  Born Monday, March 14, 1938 in East Hempfield Township, she was the daughter of the late Joseph M. and Elsie G. (Shirk) Kutz.  She was married to Gary L. Thompson on June 5, 1965.

In addition to her husband of over 54 years, she is survived by two daughters: Alice M. Miller, married to Aaron, of Annville and Joyce L. Augustus, married to Kevin, of Paris, Illinois.  Also surviving are six grandchildren: Jessica, Timothy, Alissa, Aliyah, Andrew and Anthony as well as Gladys’s extended family and caring friends.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Kutz.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, August 30, 2019, at the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543, with Pastor Shawn Madrid officiating.  Burial will follow in East Donegal Cemetery, Maytown.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home from 10 AM until the time of the service on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gladys’s honor to Faith Bible Church, Mount Joy.
