Gerald J. Dougherty

Gerald J. Dougherty, 82, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the Londonderry Village, Palmyra. He was born Sunday, August 6, 1939 to the late Thomas J. and Loretta (Strasberger) Dougherty. He is survived by his loving wife Gloria J. Vagnetti Dougherty.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children: Gerald J. Dougherty, Jr. and wife Diane, and Richard A. Dougherty and wife Jen. He is predeceased by a son, Kenneth Dougherty, and brother, Thomas D. Dougherty
Gerald was a proud Air Force veteran, and a State Trooper. He built homes and retired from the Public Utility Commission. He was also a businessman owning several laundromats. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, spending time at the lake, traveling with his wife, and taking great care of his home. He was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Palmyra.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
