On the morning of Sunday, Sept 15th, George "Bud" James McLauglin passed peacefully from this life with Barbara, his wife of 50 years, by his bedside. Bud was a man of few words, but had an undeniable chuckle, quick wit, a unique twinkle in his striking eyes and touched the lives of all who knew him. His charm, selflessness, commitment to family, exemplary craftsmanship and persistence through hard work were some of his greatest gifts.

He was born January 24, 1939 in Berlin, NJ to the late Harry Grace and Violet May (Thomas) McLaughlin. He is survived by his son Todd and wife Tiful and their children Elle, Aiden, and Avery, all residing in Mooresvillle, NC; his daughter Amy Leveroni and husband Charles and their children CAL, Dylan, Hayden, and Brady, all residing in Marblehead, MA; and mother-in-law Marian Frankenfield. He is predeceased by his siblings Harry McLaughlin and Nancy Pletz; and father-in-law, Asher R. Frankenfield.

Bud graduated in 1958 from Whitehall High School. He served his country in the 82nd Air Borne division of the Armed Forces as a paratrooper. He worked full time as a Heat and Pipe Insulator for Local #23, was a member of TPA, American Legion, Trinity United Church of Christ, and Upper Milford Mennonite Church.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 21st at 11:00 AM at Trinity United Church of Christ, 40 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078 with The Rev. Julia A. Beall officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 9:30 AM until time of the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Upper Milford Mennonite Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301, or Trinity United Church of Christ, or Upper Milford Mennonite Church, 6450 Kings Hwy S., Zionsville, PA 18092.
