Geneva C. (Lutz) Raup

Geneva C. Raup, 100 of Palmyra, formerly of Elizabethtown, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, Palmyra. Born in Mifflinville, Columbia County, she was the daughter of the late Christian and Lillian (Lynch) Lutz. She was the wife of Gerald E. Raup who died in 2008.
Geneva was a long-time member of Christ Church United Church of Christ Church in Elizabethtown.
In July of 1938, Geneva and Gerald were married and moved to Elizabethtown where they opened the Western Auto Store. After retirement, she worked as a seamstress in a local garment factory and worked with her husband operating a model train shop from their home.
Geneva is survived by her brother, Heister Lutz of Berwick, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Hunsinger and Dorothy Corgan; and a brother, Alvin Lutz.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Christ Church United Church of Christ Church, 247 South Market Street, Elizabethtown at 11:00 AM. Viewing will be heald on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place in Elizabethtown Mennonite Cemetery.
