GALEN ZUG EBERSOLE

Galen Zug Ebersole, 86, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Masonic Village of Elizabethtown.

He was born on March 16, 1928 in Elizabethtown to the late Elmer Espenshade Ebersole and Ada Zug Ebersole.

Galen was a manager at Bainbridge Garment Factory, Bainbridge, PA and Apparel Manufacturing, Elizabethtown, PA. He also worked as a real estate agent in Coudersport, PA.

Galen loved spending time with his family, the Yankees, Potter County and eating at Lisa’s.

Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Melva V. (Kline) Ebersole, three sons Dennis C. Ebersole and his wife Rosemary Gish Ebersole of Emmaus, PA, Gary L. Ebersole and his wife Noriko Ebersole of Kansas City, MO, Ronald D. Ebersole and his wife Jill Ebersole of Coudersport, PA, eight grandchildren Aimee Ebersole (Luis Chacon) of Breinigsville, PA, Gabe Ebersole of Mt. Joy, PA, Maiko Ebersole-Robinson (Edward Robinson) and sons Andrew and Benjamin of Kansas City, MO, Koji Ebersole (Nicole) and son Kenji of Kansas City, MO, Jun Ebersole (Sandy) of Woodstock, AL, Kentaro Ebersole (Suzanne) of Chicago, IL, Christina Arcuri (Anthony) and daughter Olivia of Hilton Head, SC, Matthew Ebersole and sons Colin, Tyler and Riley of Mt. Joy, PA.  He is also survived by three sisters Marion Brubaker of Lancaster, PA, Helen Fansler of York, PA, Alice Geiman of Harrisonburg, VA, and a brother Harold Ebersole of Woodstock, VA.  He was preceded in death by a sister Vera Blough Ebersole and a brother Ralph Ebersole.

At Galen’s request there will be no funeral services.  Galen’s ashes will return to his beloved Potter County with a private memorial.
