G. Emory Freet, Jr.

G. Emory Freet Jr., 83, of Elizabethtown passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Masonic Village. Born in Duncannon, he was the son of the late George Emory Freet, Sr. and Marie (Stabnau) Freet. He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 47 years, Kay A. (Masterson) Freet.

Emory worked as a teacher and guidance counselor for West Shore and Williams Valley School Districts, as well as having taught in Florida. He was a member of the Ashlar Lodge in Lykens, the Zembo Shrine, Tall Cedars, Harrisburg Consistory, and the Upper Dauphin Shrine Club. He was a man who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed taking walks and hikes, hunting, fishing, and traveling. Emory made the selfless decision to donate his body to Humanity Gifts Registry with the hopes that he can help further advance medical knowledge.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister Helen Dupes of Virginia, and four nieces.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
