Fred E. Shaneor

Fred E. Shaneor, 71, of Elizabethtown, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg.  Born Friday, April 13, 1945 in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late John H. Shaneor, Jr. and Mozelia (Boyer) Shaneor.  He was married to Sara A. “Sally” (Zellers) Shaneor on May 15, 1970.

A Veteran of the Vietnam War, Fred proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corps.

In addition to his devoted wife of over 46 years, he will be lovingly missed by a daughter, Sara C. Shaneor, of Harrisburg; two brothers, Donald Shaneor (Linda), of Towson, MD and Earl Shaneor, of Glen Bernie, MD as well as Fred’s extended family and caring friends.

A Celebration of Fred’s life will be held at 11 AM on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Grace Chapel, 2535 Colebrook Road, Elizabethtown, PA  17022 with Pastor Mel Weaver officiating.  A time of visitation will follow the service on Friday.  Private interment will be at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Fred’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
