Frank Peter Garafola

Frank P. Garafola, 90, passed away peacefully Friday, July 21, 2023, at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, PA. Born December 12, 1932 at Beth Israel Hospital, NY.  He was the son of the late Frank and Lucy (Leone) Garafola. He was married to the late Adrienne V. Garafola (Riehl) for 61 wonderful years. Frank was a US Navy veteran having served as a radio operator on a Destroyer.

Frank is survived by four children: Glenn F. Garafola, married to Lynn (Richards), of Sparta, NJ; Gregg W. Garafola (traveling the U.S.), Wayne M. Garafola, married to Nancylee (Smerlick), of Newfoundland, PA and Nancy Ann Eichinger, married to Stephen, of Andover, NJ.  Also surviving are four grandchildren (Cristina, Nicholas, Richard, and Cassandra) and one great grandchild (Emily).

Frank enjoyed camping, cooking, reading, boat modeling, wood working, and being a Ham Operator (WA2LUY) for more than 50 years. Frank was a Master Mason of Babylon Lodge #793 for 47 years. He enjoyed spending time with his entire family.

The family thanks the entire staff of Elizabethtown Masonic Village and Lancaster DaVita for his care.

Private interment will take place Thursday, July 27th will full military honors at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.
