Evelyn R. (Emswiler) Fausnacht

Evelyn R. Fausnacht, 90, of Maytown, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy. Born Tuesday, May 31, 1927 in Palmyra, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Ethel (Ludwig) Emswiler. She was married 63 years to John H. Fausnacht who passed away in July 2010. She was preceded in death by a son Jeffrey Lynn Fausnacht and a brother George Emswiler.

Evelyn was a longtime member of Lawn Evangelical Congregational Church, where she was involved in the choir and The Busy Bees. She retired from M&M Mars, Elizabethtown in 1985.

Evelyn is survived by a sister Doris M. Martin of Palmyra; two daughters: Sally Specht and her husband Larry of Elizabethtown and Wendy Teats and her husband James of Mount Joy; three sons: John H. Fausnacht, Jr., and his wife Marylin of Lititz; Michael Fausnacht and his wife Barbara of Elizabethtown and Timothy Fausnacht and his wife Bonnie of Elizabethtown; Evelyn was known as "Grandma" and "Mee-Maw" to her eight grandchildren: Jessica Vieland, Janell Olah, Todd Fausnacht, Andrew Fausnacht, Jennifer Andrus, Laurie McCarthy, Jordan Specht and Brent Fausnacht, and ten great grandchildren.

Evelyn enjoyed soaking up the sun by her pool and spending time with her children and grandchildren at family gatherings.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Lawn Evangelical Congregational Church, 5566 Elizabethtown, Lawn, PA 17041 at 11:00AM. Viewing will be from 10:00 until the time of service. Interment will take place in Grandview Memorial Park, Annville.
