EVELYN GLADYS BURG

Evelyn Gladys (Stoudt) Burg, 93, went home to the Lord on July 29, 2013, at the Brethren Retirement Community, Greenville, Ohio.

Born September, 11, 1919 near Elizabethtown, she was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary (Sheffy) Stoudt, and her brothers and sisters: Earle Stoudt, Eva Dowhower, Edna Geiman, Anna Stopfel, Florence Gipe, Stella Wise, Esther Arehart, and Harvey Stoudt.

She was the devoted mother of Patricia Burg Neidengard and Gerald (Suzanne) Burg, the loving grandmother of Mark (Sionna) Neidengard, Amy Neidengard, Carla (Bryan) Gray, Adam Burg, Jonathan (Theresa) Burg, and Deborah (Brock) Miniard, and an adoring great-grandmother of Gaige Ryan, Ronald Larrick, Jonathan Patrick Burg, Isaac Miniard, and Charlotte Miniard.

She was a long-time member of the Elizabethtown Church of the Brethren and resident of Elizabethtown. She was a professional seamstress who liked sewing dresses to donate to mission work, but enjoyed her great-grandchildren more than anything.

An interment ceremony was held on August 1 at the Conewago Cemetery, close to her birthplace. Arrangements were under the care of the Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. of Elizabethtown. www.millerfuneralhome.com .
