Eva M. (Kapp) Wilson, 96, of Palmyra, passed away with her loving family by her side on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Columbia Cottage. She was born Monday, September 11, 1916 in East Hanover Township to the late Harry H. and Lucy (Nye) Kapp. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Carl J. Wilson, in 1990.
She retired from Hershey Foods, tin can department, in 1979 after 28 years of faithful service. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church where she was active with the ladies bible class, missionary society, and quilting ministry. She was a member of the Palmyra Chapter 402 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was an avid walker and enjoyed her beloved dog; most of all, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by a son, Carl E. Wilson and wife Donna of Cleona; a daughter, Sandra Landis of Palmyra; a granddaughter, Jennifer Mills and husband Brian of Cleona; a great grandson, Jacob Mills; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son-in-law, Steven J. Landis; four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 13th at 11 AM at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078 with Rev. Richard A. Clark officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing at 10 AM followed by an Order of the Eastern Star service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
