Eugenia Marie “Gina” Kane, 62, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026.

Born on December 19, 1963, in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Gina spent most of her life in Elizabethtown, where she created a home filled with love, faith, and cherished memories. During the last four years of her life, she returned to Hershey, a place that always remained close to her heart.

Gina was a devoted Christian whose faith guided her throughout her life. Her love for God was reflected in the kindness, compassion, and grace she showed each day. She had a warm spirit and caring heart that made people feel welcomed, loved, and supported.

Gina found joy in the simple but meaningful things in life. She loved cooking and baking for family & friends; sharing her famous chocolate chip cookies and whoopie pie’s that brought comfort and happiness to those around her. She also enjoyed crafting and expressing her creativity through the many things she lovingly made by hand. More than anything, Gina treasured the time she spent with her eight grandchildren, who brought her endless pride, laughter, and joy.

A devoted mother, Gina carried deep love of all her children throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Josh; her mother, Shirley Freet; and her older sister, Lorrie Freet, all of whom she loved dearly and held close in her heart.

She is survived by her loving sons, Jarred, 37, and Jason, 35; her father, Eugene Freet; her younger brother, Bradley Freet; her eight grandchildren; extended family members; and many dear friends who will forever treasure the love and memories she shared with them.

Gina will be remembered for her unwavering faith, generous heart, quiet strength, and the love she gave so freely to everyone around her. Her presence brought comfort, encouragement, laughter, and warmth to those fortunate enough to know her, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, June 6th at 11:00 a.m. at Living Hope Church, 3030 Schoolhouse Road, Middletown, PA 17057. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Gina’s life, faith, and the love she shared with so many.

Though her earthly journey has ended, Gina’s faith assures that she now rests peacefully in the presence of the Lord, reunited with eternal peace, love, and those who went before her.
