Estella V. (Boeshore) Rhoads, 99, of Annville, passed away Monday, September 29, 2014, at The Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. She was born Friday, September 3, 1915 in Campbelltown to the late William and Mabel (Sholly) Boeshore. She was predeceased by her loving husband Clarence N. Rhoads in 1979.
She was a faithful and active member of Salem UCC. She was employed by Hershey Foods and was involved with the Hershey Chorus. Estella volunteered over 10,000 hours at the Crippled Children’s Hospital in Elizabethtown. Most importantly she was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.
She is survived by a daughter, Kay Flory; a grandson, Kevin and wife Mildred; 3 great-granddaughters, Jasmine, Madison, and Sydney; a great-great-granddaughter, Daphne; and 2 sisters, Betty Birch and Eva Peiffer. She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Edna Boeshore and Leah Beake, 5 brothers, Roy, William, George, Robert, and Ralph Boeshore; and a son-in-law, Roy Flory.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 2nd at 10 AM at Salem UCC, 2761 Horseshoe Pk, Campbelltown 17010 with Rev. Bushnell officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 9 AM until time of the service. Burial will follow at Salem Reformed Cemetery.
