Emma Savage

Emma Miller Savage, aged 92, passed away on July 24, 2026, at Londonderry Village in Palmyra, Pennsylvania. Emma was born on June 11, 1934, to the late Linville and Leffie Mae Adair Miller. During her life, Emma was a dedicated nurse who often described her profession as the love of her life. She loved walking and hiking and was also an avid reader. Emma was a true people person who never met a stranger and made friends wherever she went.

In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Melburn Eugen Savage; her brothers, Leonard Miller and Seaborn Miller; and her sister, Betty Grissom.

She is survived by her loving family: her sons, Darrell (Glenda) Savage and Gregory Savage; her daughter, Kimberly (Scott) Mayne; her brother, Wayne (Joyce) Miller; her grandchildren, Tisha Savage, Darylyn (Adam) Howell, Brian Keirn, Susu Keirn, Lauren Reza, Noelle (James) Campony, Tyler (Jennifer) Mayne, and Brittany (Kaleb) Kilmer; and fifteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several special nieces and nephews, cousins, dear friends, and extended family members.

A graveside service for Mrs. Emma Miller Savage will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Spencer Town Cemetery, with Bro. Roy Terry officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Layne Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a procession will travel to Spencer Town Cemetery for the graveside service.
