Emma P. (Yinger) Knight

Emma Pauline (Yinger) Knight, 90, of Palmyra, passed away with family by her side on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in her home. She was born Sunday, September 24, 1922 in Hershey to the late Ralph and Clara (Deimler) Yinger. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Benjamin F. Knight, in 2007.

Emma was one of the oldest members of Derry Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed flowers, birds, and collecting angels. She was always ready to cheer on her favorite college football team, PSU Nittany Lions. Most importantly she was a loving family woman.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Darlene C. Knight, Dawn A. Orlando and husband S. Terry, Sherryl L. Breach and husband Robert Scott; 7 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Darle R. Knight; 2 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a sister Marion Risser.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 3rd at 10:00 AM at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with the Rev. Dr. Dick L. Houtz officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 9 AM until time of the services. Burial will follow in Hershey Cemetery, Hershey.
